Today I read about a woman who reportedly jumps in front of train and is killed. An unidentified woman was struck and killed yesterday afternoon by an Amtrak train as it speed through the D street station. It was passing the station shortly after 2 pm when the woman believed to be about 58 years old jumped from the platform and stood with her arms outstretched in front of the oncoming train. The train engineer who had already sounded the horn applied the emergency brake but the train struck the woman and killed her.
Interesting facts- The Amtrak train does not stop at station D which is used by coaster commuter trains. It was passing the station at 77 mph.
My Opinion- They don’t have an ALTERNATIVE idea of why she did this. The STRATEGY the driver made to stop the train was not fast enough. He saw the lady PREVIOUS to hitting her. I think the driver was slow to respond.
Federal prosecutors charged two men with plotting a strategy a "killing spree" against alternative African-Americans that would have been capped with an attempt to kill Sen. Barack Obama while they wore white tuxedos, federal officials said Monday.
Paul Schlesselman, left, and Daniel Cowart said they planned to kill more than 100 African-Americans.
The U.S. attorney's office in Jackson, Tennessee, said Daniel Cowart, 20, and Paul Schlesselman, 18, were self-described white supremacists who met online through a previous mutual friend.
Both men have been charged with illegal possession of a sawed-off shotgun, conspiracy to rob a federally licensed gun dealer and making threats against a presidential candidate.
The men planned to kill more than 100 African-Americans, including 14 who would be beheaded, according to the affidavit. But federal law enforcement sources said there was no evidence Cowart, of Bells, Tennessee, and Schlesselman, of West Helena, Arkansas, had any details of Obama's schedule.
"We take this very, very seriously but we see no evidence these guys have the ability or the wherewithal to pull off what they say they wanted to do," one law enforcement source said.
According to an affidavit from the federal agent who questioned them, Cowart and Schlesselman planned to charge at Obama with a car, firing from the windows as they went. They would be dressed in white tuxedos and top hats during the attempt, the affidavit states.
The article I read today talked about foster care. Carson and Ja Vaughn palmer where born about 18 mounts apart. Both where born with a medical condition. They where born with methamphetamine in there system. The mother said that she had done drugs well being pregnant. The children where about a year old when they died in foster care. Carson was 7 weeks old when he was found dead in the bed of a tonnages grand daughters of a foster parent. Carton went in to the home of Barbara Davis two days after he was born. All went well as social workers say. Social worker say more people went into the home to live witch is a violation of the roles. For the social worker this was ok but for the mother it was not ok. All threw the year babies die of unexplainable deaths.
My opinion on this article is that the government need to see the things they do. People are losing there children because of the government. It should be hard on the family's because they don’t even get to see there children pass away because of faster care. Before they take there children they should think of the family's.
In today’s newspaper I read about the Felix-Arellano cartel brother who was recently arrested and is looking at the alternative for his time behind bars, death penalty in Mexico. He is still looking at charges in the states. It is still unknown if his capture will affect the violence in Tijuana? Six more deaths were announced yesterday in four separate cases. All the deaths were between the time frame of 3 to 7 pm including one behind a school. The killed were found in an abandoned in a pick-up truck yesterday. The states will have to wait until Eduardo Arellano-Felix faces his charges in the Mexican court system. It is still unknown when he will be extradition to the us for his number of charges. the previous brother was arrested in 2002 and still hasn't been charged in the US.

What I read in today’s Union Tribune newspaper for October 28. 2008 was that two babies in foster care died in the hands of their foster parents. Carson Wolfe and JaVaughn Palmer both had methamphetamine coursing through their system and were 18 months apart. The two boys were taken into foster care when their mother had admitted into using the drug when they were pregnant. Both parents had no alternative choice but to let go of their newborn babies. Carson was 7 weeks old when has life had ended. The previous event that had happened before he died was that he slept with the godmother’s granddaughter. She would also take him on trips on the bus and mall. JaVaughn also died at the hands of the foster care. He was also born with drugs in his system. At first there was no crib or bed for little baby JaVaughn when he first moved in his 3 bedroom apartment in San Marcos. The worker then ordered the grandmother to get a crib, then 5 days later they have verified that the infant had a crib to sleep in. Less than 2 weeks later JaVaughn died. They said he died. Before the infant died he slept on the teenager’s stomach. I think this is a sad tragedy, because its sad losing your own baby especially when you couldn’t really hold the baby for a long time. It also hurts to get your baby taken away. I know the biological parents of these infants are still grieving for their loss of their babies.
Today in the San Diego Union Tribune I read about a drug-resistant staph bacteria. These widespread germs used to be easier to treat than the dangerous forms of staph found in hospitals and nursing homes. No one really thought of it as a problem among healthy people. The germs are causing outbreaks in schools, on sports teams and in other social situation are posing a growing threat. A CDC study found that at least 10 percent of cases involving the most common community strain were able to evade the antibiotics typically used to treat them. They are becoming more resistant, and they are coming into the hospitals. The germ can be life threatening if it gets into the blood stream, lungs or organs. That is weird there is so many diseases now maybe that’s how thousands are people are going to start dying.
Today the newspaper I read about was the same thing I read yesterday/ about how they couldn’t find the boy that was missing. Who is related to the singer. Well at 7am they found him at the back of a suv found dead. The same place were his relatives was found dead too. They found the body of the 7 year old son the previous spot were they found the grandmother and brother. Their alternative plan to find who killed them all three, was the stepfather cause he had some past bad things he did. When he was locked up before. The body of the 7 year old boy was found ten miles away from the house. In front of t the boys house were Hudson grew up and lived around. they are still looking for the killer but they have a couple people in mind. Their questing them a lot. They have some family member in mind.?
I think its crazy sad… im hoping its not one of the family members, cause that would make that person look really bad, to kill just a little kid like Julian. He just 7 years old. I hope they find who killed these three people that are innocents.//
In this mornings San Diego union tribune their was an article about a surfer who dies in a vicious fight down in La jolla. Seth cravens (the defendant) is charged with murder and other felony counts. Seth’s other friends were convicted of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the fight. Cravens four co-defendants were off to jail from there. Matt yanke, Eric House were sentenced to 210 days in jail. Osuna was sentenced to 349 days and Hendricks pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Today in the union tribune I read that Daniel James, a UK rugby player has flown all the way to Switzerland to commit suicide and his parents may held accountable for helping him do it. Daniel James was only 23 but was paralyzed from the chest down in March 2007 when a rugby scrum collapsed on top of him during match practice dislocating his spine. He dislocated his C6/C7 vertebrae, trapping his spinal cord and becoming a tetraplegic in a split second. This means that Dan lost the complete use of his body from the chest down. He regained some use of his fingers but that was the extent of his recovery and it just wasn’t good enough for his.
I feel his pain because if you get hurt doing something you love and you get paralyzed doing it I understand killing yourself would be an option. If you think about it he probably felt like someone would have to take care of him the rest of his life and nobody wants that. He probably felt like he had no purpose in life and decided to end it as soon as he could. You can’t get in trouble for killing yourself.
Today in the union Tribune I read about the capture of Eduardo Arellano Felix. Eduardo Arellano Felix is one of the four brothers that has gotten captured by the Mexican authorities. The Mexican authorities got a tip by the united states witch got a tip from sone that knew where he was at. The fifth brother known as Ramon Arellano Felix was shot to death in a shootout with Mexican police in the state of Sinaloa in the year 2002. Eduardo was captured on Saturday night after a shootout in Tijuana with Soldiers and federal agents. Just a little past 5 p.m. on Saturday Mexican soldiers and federal agents raided a residence in a very quiet residence. Eduardo’s daughter was with him at the time of the shootout and his capture. After the Mexican authorities arrested Eduardo they flew him immediately to Mexico City for questioning. Eduardo took over the Arellano Cartel after the capture of his youngest brother in 2006. the strategy of this capture is to stop the Drug war in Tijuana Mexico
Reflection- I do think there will be still shooting cause they caught the last Arellano but at the same time the killings are going to go down because he is in the pin.
