Today in the union tribune I read that Enervated energy drink pitchmen Danny and Wheeler get on the wrong side of the law and are faced with a choice of 30 days in jail or 150 hours of community service with the Sturdy Wings big brother agency. Neither is exactly role model material Wheeler is a party animal obsessed with the ladies, while Danny is careering head on into full blown depression after getting his marching orders from long term girlfriend Beth. Jail doesn't seem out of the question when these Bigs in Sturdy Wings terminology meet their littles Ronnie is a 10 year old with a mouth like Eddie Murphy and an attitude like Mike Tyson. Augie is a tongue tied loner who goes around in a cloak, carrying a foam broadsword, and who lives for a weekly fantasy role-playing tournament. By now you may be thinking the prospect of hard time in the slammer sounds more enjoyable than 90 minutes watching Role Models. And if we're talking about one of those minimum security facilities reserved for Wall Street embezzlers, that's likely true. The role is scarcely more than a vignette, but Lynch somehow contrives to sneak off with yet another Generation XY male bonding movie. Other material is familiar Wheeler and Ronnie get on the same page when the subject turns to breasts; Danny and Augie win their princesses through old-fashioned chivalry.

In the San Diego Union Tribune I read about the violence in Tijuana is still traumatizing the residents in the city. The paper announced 21 cops were suspected in being linked to the organized crime groups in Tijuana in the past couple weeks. The officers detained were not just city cops but state troopers as well. 19 of Tijuana's municipals officers with two state officials are detained and are being questioned as they await for there trial. The detainees are being questioned in Mexico city. The number of homicides since September has rose to 230. officials said 200 officers have either been fired, pressure to leave, or voluntary resigned in the past 11 months.

What I read in today’s Union Tribune newspaper is about tomorrows huge earthquake drill that’s scheduled for tomorrow November 13, 2008. The earthquake drill would take place in the morning at approximately 10:00 am . Almost 5.1 million people in Southern California are expected to participate in the drill. The STRUCTURE of the whole drill is people would be advised to “ drop, cover, and hold” meaning they have to get to the floor immediately, move under something that’s sturdy and hold onto it. The Earthquake Country Alliance started the Great Southern Shakeout. The Shakeout is a simulation of a magnitude- 7.8 earthquake on the southern end of the San Andreas Fault. Approximately more than 100 local schools and100 businesses signed up for the drill. Organizers also advised that individuals and other families should participate in the drill. I think the drill would make an IMPACT on people, because it teaches them what to do whenever there's an earthquake.

Today I read about L.A. deputies that are facing new alcohol policy. The nations largest sheriff’s department plans to ban deputies from carrying guns if they are drinking saying there have been to many arrest of tipsy deputies for drunken driving brandishing weapons shooting people and other crimes. At least 61 Los Angeles deputies have been arrested this year on alcohol related charges. Including 39 on suspicion of driving under the influence. In April 2006 a rookie deputy who had at least 11 drinks while celebrating his return from marine duty in Iraq shot and killed his friend.
Interesting facts- Sheriff Lee Baca said he thought of this rule because the number of arrest had gone so high.
My Opinion- I can PERCIEVE from the STRUCTURE of their thoughts how it has IMPACT on the other officers. I think that is a good idea what Lee has come up with. I think that if the cops are doing things that they tell us not to do like drink and drive and shoot people they should not be trying to tell us what to do they are just as wreck less as us. I think the only reason they are in uniform is not to help people but to mess with people. I think cops and sheriff’s that do things like this should get the death penalty.

What I read today in the Union Tribune was about Armed men abduct 27 farmworkers. Police hunted yesterday for 27 farmworkers who were kidnapped by dozens of heavily armed men wearing military style uniforms. The suspects roused the farmworkers from bed before dawn Monday at a vegetable farm just outside the Sinaloa state capital of Culiacan. They drove out with a caravan of sports utility vehicles. The victims all men from 16 to 61 years of age made less than $10 per day. The owner of the vegetables camp has ties with Vicente Carrillo Fuentes, a suspected leader of the Juarez drug cartel. What I think is that why will they kidnapped 27 men for what purpose. The fact is that they set this guys up because the owner new the leader from the cartel.

=Earth Quake Drill=

On Thursday, the 13 of November there will be a massive structured earth quake drill in southern California. It is called the Great Southern California Shakeout Drill. It will be the largest earth quake drill in U.S. history. It is expected that 5.1 million people will participate in this drill. This is including the 400,000 participants in San Diego county. Also more that one hundred schools and businesses signed up to take part of this drill. I believe this will have an impact on the way we think about safety. This is done to perceive the attention of earth quakes. It will be an imaginary 7.8 earth quake.

This is good to bring danger to our attentions.

Also the drill can help us learn on how to act and stay calm when a real earth quake happens.

The drill will be happening at 10:00 am and will be taken seriously.

In today's paper I had read that their were 21 Tijuana's police suspected of crime links. Their were 19 Tijuana municipal officers and two state agents. These police were not just city cops they were state troopers as well. Their have been numerous counts of homicides recorded since late september,230 homicides to be exact. There have been 200 officers fired, pressure forced to leave, or resigned in the past 11 months. Their was a recent operation in 2002,42 police officers were detained, including the TJ police chief and top state prosecutor in the city, who were suspected of cooperating with the arellano Felix cartel. To this day all but 10 officers were released.

The article I read this morning was about the war that is going on in Tijuana between the drug cartels and the authorities. Yesterday the Baja California officials announced that 21 state and federal police officers have been taken into federal custody. The police officers that have been taken into custody were arrested because they were suspected with cooperating with the Arellano Felix cartel. In 2002 42 officers were also arrested because of the same reason. The first dentations occurred on Monday. On the Monday’s arrest the police officers that got arrested were taken into custody at the Morelos military base near downtown Tijuana. Yesterday it was unclear were the detains were being held. The suspects in organized crime investigations flew to Mexico City to get questioned.
I think that it is a good thing that they arrested some of the police officers from Tijuana. The reason I think it is a good idea is because I know about how the policemen over in Mexico are always involved in the drug cartels. I believe that this is going to end soon and in a very calmed way at least I hope.
An interesting fact that I read was that 21 cops suspected of crime links are being detained.

In the San Diego Union Tribune I read an article about the same thing I read everyday for the past couple of weeks. The violence in Tijuana is still going on even after one of the main brothers from the once powerful drug cartel known as the Arellano-Felix was captured. The Baja Californian governor Guadalupe Osuna Millian asked U.S. officials to cease the weapon exportation south of the border. The country of Mexico asked a interesting questions to Americans, “who causes greater harm to whom is it the migrants that go to the states to work and feed families or the thousands of weapons that go south of the border from the north?”

Today in the union tribune I read about L.A. deputies face new alcohol policies. The nations largest sheriffs department plans to ban lots of deputies from caring guns if they have been drinking. There has been way to many arrests of tipsy deputies for drunken driving. Brandishing weapons, shooting people and lots of other crimes. There has been at least 61 Los Angeles county deputies have been arrested this year on alcohol related charges while being on duty. Including 39 on suspicion of driving under the influence. The union is arguing the policy could put deputies at risk by emboldening people who know that deputies would be unarmed at certain times .The policy would be among the more restrictive among law enforcement agencies. There was one deputy that was placed on leave after he accidently shot a man in the leg after drinking at a New years party.
