In today’s Union Tribune newspaper for October 27, 2008, I read that there was a shooting going on at Oceanside at around 10 am in the morning, Gregory Kwok, who was 48, was shot by police and loss his pit bull. He was a well-liked neighbor, and he was very helpful to the other neighbors. Like his neighbor Alejandro Carreno said, “ He was a good guy, man, He was helpful to a lot of neighbors around here.” Before all this could happen, the previous thing that happened that Kwok and his father were arguing. Suddenly Kwok went out with his underwear and fired at least 3 shots down on the ground. The neighbors also missed the pit bull that had died. I think it was stupid to shoot someone who wasn’t that of a harm. I didn’t think that Gregory was a harm since he was shooting down on the ground. He probably did that so he would avoid shooting anyone. There wasn’t anything I learned from this article.
Today in the union tribune I read that in an East Tennessee community there was a crash that killed four cheerleaders. Police identified the other three teenagers killed as Scarlette Hill, Jaime Hill and driver Shirley N. Hughett. A passenger in the other car, Jeweline Ledbetter King was killed. King's daughter in law, Miranda King, was sitting in the back seat and lost her unborn child because of injuries from the crash. The car's driver, Malcum King, 22, and a 10-month-old child, Aiden Wilson, also were injured and taken to a hospital. The conditions of the car's survivors were not immediately known. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 27 in Scott County, which sits on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line. It shut down the highway for about eight hours.
I don’t really have any remorse for the cheerleaders, I feel sorry for the mother of the unborn child because now it will never be able to live a happy life. The baby’s life was stolen on that tragic night. I hope she can cope with herself and not do anything ill rational.
A body was found inside the SUV that was the subject of an Amber Alert for Julian King, the 7-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, Chicago police said Monday.
The white SUV where the child's body was found is taken away to be examined by investigators.

Deputy Police Chief Wayne Gulliford had no details on the remains discovered in the vehicle that was found in Chicago on Monday morning.
Earlier, the Cook County medical examiner's office told CNN it is investigating reports of a child's body found in an SUV in Chicago.
Julian has been missing since Hudson's mother and brother were found dead in their home Friday.
Police asked people to look out for a 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban with Illinois license plate X584859.
Julian is described as being 4 feet 11inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a striped brown polo shirt and khaki pants when last seen, authorities said in the Amber Alert.
In the past couple days I have been reading about the drug war in Tijuana, between two very powerful cartels. The violence has left almost 150 dead. The number isn’t just criminals, unfortunately this horrible event also has included innocent bystanders and the family of those who decide to get involved in to the drug cartel world. Luckily, this weekend one of the brothers of the once powerful Felix Arellano drug cartel, was captured in Tijuana. The Felix Arellano organization is the group other cartels try to go after because other cartels fear their power.
Today I read about a Reward that is being offered for the safe return of Jennifer Hudson's nephew. Investigators looked for forensic evidence near the home where her mother and brother were found shot to death. Mourners were outside the childhood home of the singer and Oscar-winning actress along with investigators seeking clues to the whereabouts of Julian King 7, the son of Jennifer Hudson’s sister Julia. Chicago police have ramped up search efforts for Julian and issued an amber alert. The deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mom and brother were ruled homicides. Police have suspected Julia’s estranged husband as a suspect in the double homicide. He has not been charged yet and is in custody. Detectives have been working 24 hours on this case. Police said the search for Julian will be city wide.
Interesting facts- Jennifer Hudson won an academy award for best supporting actress in 2007.
My Opinion- I think that a good STRATEGY for the police is to have an ALTERNATIVE idea of who did this. I think the PREVIOUS arrest they made to the estranged husband was good. I think that is sad what has happened and whoever did this should be put to death.
The article I read this morning was about the capture of Eduardo Arellano Felix. Eduardo Arellano Felix is one of the four brothers that has gotten captured by the Mexican authorities. The fifth brother known as Ramon Arellano Felix was shot to death in a shootout with Mexican police in the state of Sinaloa in the year 2002. Eduardo was captured on Saturday night after a shootout in Tijuana with Soldiers and federal agents. Just a little past 5 p.m. on Saturday Mexican soldiers and federal agents raided a residence in a very quiet residence. Eduardo’s daughter was with him at the time of the shootout and his capture. After the Mexican authorities arrested Eduardo they flew him immediately to Mexico City for questioning. Eduardo took over the Arellano Cartel after the capture of his youngest brother in 2006.
I feel relieved after this capture because hopefully all the violence ends. He was the last one to be captured. Lets just hope that the rest of the members don’t receive orders to keep the war on even though all the heads of the Cartel are locked up.
An interesting fact that I read was that he is pretty much one of the last major players of what was once the powerful Arellano Felix organization.
Today I read in the Union Tribune about a drug-resistant staph bacteria. These widespread germs used to be easier to treat than the dangerous forms of staph found in hospitals and nursing homes. No one really thought of it as a problem among healthy people. The germs are causing outbreaks in schools, on sports teams and in other social situation are posing a growing threat. A CDC study found that at least 10 percent of cases involving the most common community strain were able to evade the antibiotics typically used to treat them. They are becoming more resistant, and they are coming into the hospitals. The germ can be life threatening if it gets into the blood stream, lungs or organs.
Reflection- its weird how people are going to start dyeing
