Today in the newspaper I read about how they are putting more expenses to the hospital in hillcrest. So there can be a bigger emergency room for the hospital. It was about 203 million dollars…to Scripps mercy hospital in hillcrest.
I think its good that they are doing is good for everybody and for the hospital. Cus the hospital

Today I read about a dog who dies after alerting owner to apartment blaze. A small dog who alerted her owner that there was a fire died in the blaze that swept threw her La Jolla apartment. Firefighters said that the dog most likely saved her life. The woman was in the shower when her pet pug started barking incessantly. When she got out she found that the couch was on fire in the living room. The woman panicked and ran out of the apartment. The door locked behind her and she could not get back in to her house to get her pet. Firefighters later found the small dog in the master bedroom overcome by smoke inhalation.
Interesting Facts- Te woman had said The dog was he love of her lifer and her companion the woman was taking the loss very hard.
My Opinion- I PERCIEVE that the woman’s STRUCTURE of thoughts was dumb. The IMPACT she did was big. I think that the lady was only thinking about getting her self out safe and if she really loved that dog she wouldn’t have left without him in the first place. I think that if she really wanted to get the dog out she could have she could have knocked down the door or something.

What I read in today’s Union Tribune newspaper for November 14, 2008 was about the earthquake drill that took place yesterday morning around 10:00 sm. Children aren't the one who needs more practice for whenever an earthquake takes place. Adults are the ones that needs more practice getting ready for an earthquake. Like what Pearce quoted, “Part of this is re- educating adults.” About 400,000 residents participated in the worlds largest quake drill in U.S history. I PERCIEVED the drill wasn’t that big of a deal, but most people made the drill seem like it was like a real earthquake. For example at Bishop Alemany High School in the San Fernando Valley, some students wore fake blood to play the part of those people that were wounded in the earthquake. The STRUCTURE of the whole procedure is “ drop, cover, and hold. “ I'm going to SUMMARIZE what you should and shouldn’t do if you were indoors during an earthquake. Once you feel an earthquake, you should drop, go under any sturdy furniture , and hold on to it until the shaking stops. If there's no sturdy furniture somewhere around you, you should just cover your face and head and crouch in an inside corner of a building. You should also stay away from glass or windows. If your in bed, stay there and cover your head with a pillow if there's nothing on the ceiling that would hurt you. If there's no other way that could protect you go to a nearby doorway for shelter. One of the most important thing is never use an elevator. I think the drill was helpful for most people to learn what to do if there's an earthquake.

Today what I read about in the Union Tribune was about two men stole an Xbox video game system at a video store, in Clairemont yesterday and dropped a gun in the process. The two men when into Game Crazy inside Hollywood Video store Genesee Ave., near Balboa Ave. about at 12:15 pm and stole the game after distracting the clerk. The two suspects got into the car which a woman was waiting and fled. An officer made a traffic stop 10minutes later and arrested three people in the connection of the robbery. I believe what this guys did is scandalous because they probably got the Xbox for their child or somebody who will give them money for his child but how come they work and their own Xbox that’s pretty selfish. People shouldn’t be liked the way they are and go steel stuff.

In this mornings paper I have read that two men had stolen a Xbox from a Hollywood game crazy store. They had left with the Xbox and on of them had dropped there gun. They had then ran to a car with a women driver and they fled the scene. Later that day the police had traced where the gun was from and arrested 3 people that they thought that committed the crime. These guys weren't the smartest people in the world. They shouldn’t even have a gun on them at all. They are not robbing a bank just stealing a Xbox. But if you are going to bring a gun at least have the weapon on you and not ready to slip out like what happened here. Its like dropping your wallet at a crime scene. The gun is obviously registered to your name.

The union tribune reports that the officers are still being questioned for involvement with the crime organizations. Most arrest were made in Monday or Tuesday. Yesterday an officer who oversees the Mesa De Otay was released. A judge in a court in Mexico City said he is still deciding whether to charge the officers the mayor Jorge Ramos said they will not be returning to they’re post. He said who ever is gone will not be coming back because he does not need them in the Tijuana police department. HE ALSO SAID HE WILL HAVE TO BRING STRUCTURE TO THE DEPARTMENT .Officials say ten of the other officers who fled are still to be questioned they have already warned the border patrol if they try to leave their passports will be confiscated. the officials PERCIEVE they will try and flee the country.

A 15-year-old accused of fatally shooting her classmate was upset because the two had recently stopped talking. She told police she brought a gun to school because she "wanted her to feel pain like me," according to an affidavit. Teah Wimberly, a 15-year-old sophomore at Fort Lauderdale's Dillard High School, was ordered held in jail for 21 days Thursday, and will likely undergo a psychological examination before her next court date. "She's a very troubled young girl and we asked the judge to order a confidential psychological evaluation," said her attorney, Gary Kollin. Wimberley's family was "distraught about the fact that a child has died and "saddened by the fact that Teah is in custody. Wimberly is charged with first-degree murder and discharging a weapon on school property in the killing of Amanda Collette, also 15. Officer Mark A. Shotwell, who interviewed Wimberly, wrote in the affidavit that she said the two had been friends, but recently stopped speaking. Investigators said Wimberly shot Collette, then walked to a seafood restaurant to call authorities and turn herself in.

The article I read this morning was about a riot at prison. In the La Mesa Penitentiary also known as la peni which is located in Tijuana . Six inmates were killed and dozens were injured. Four of the six inmates that were killed were shot to death. The other two were beaten to death. One of them got beaten to death on Saturday by the prisons two commanders and a prison guard. The beating of that inmate was the spark of the riot at the prison. About 2 dozen inmates were injured in the riot.
I believe that Mexican authorities are getting pretty strict now and days. I believe that some of this change in Mexico is good in one way but horrible in another. I hope that they fix all these problems in Mexico.
An interesting fact that I read was that the inmates rioted for 12 hours straight.

Today in my union tribune I had read about huge fire up in Santa Barbara. A brush fire destroyed dozens of homes yesterday in the tony enclave of Montecito, forcing evacuations in the whole community. Flames had a real big IMPACT on many multimillion dollar homes. As the gusting wind continued more problems for a lot of fire fighters . The fire fighters had to SUMMARIZE how many acres it was and it came up to 300 acres. Its such a big ISSUE for people who are losing beautiful houses its really terrible for that to happen. Well the county office had said about 125 fire trucks and three water-droppings helicopter were on route or at the scene. All the fire fighters faced gusts as high as 70 mph last night. All of the gust were to remain exactly the same today according the national whether.
