Today in the union tribune I read that Evidence from the suicide of a Missouri girl can be used by prosecutors against a woman charged with helping to create a false Internet identity that was used to harass the teenager, a federal judge has ruled. The ruling came just days before the start of the potentially groundbreaking trial of Lori Drew, 49, of O'Fallon, Missouri, who has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and accessing computers without authorization. Prosecutors said Drew helped create the MySpace account and harassed Megan Meier, her daughter's former friend. Prosecutors say Meier, 13, who was being treated for depression, hanged herself after receiving messages saying the world would be better off without her. U.S. District Judge George Wu previously indicated he might bar any mention of suicide because it could be prejudicial, but he changed his mind Friday after hearing lawyers' arguments.

The article I read this morning was about a man who prosecutors won’t pursue execution in a slaying that happened in 2006. 24 year old, Dennis Potts if sentence will face life in prison without parole. He is charged with the deaths of 22 year old Tori Vienneau and there 10 month old son. The 10 month old babies name was Dean Springstube. Potts agreed to take a mail-in paternity test in June 2006. Potts pleaded not guilty and his friend Maxwell Corn also faces trail on one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice. Maxwell Corn is also 24 years old. He helped Potts make a fake DNA test where it said that he did not father Tori’s 10 month old son.
I believe that this man is crazy. I hope he gets what he deserves. I can’t imagine how he had the guts to kill a poor innocent baby.
An interesting fact that I read was that the real paternity test said he was the father of the 10 month old baby.

In today's paper their was a drive by shooting in Logan heights. The victims had been standing outside a store on 30th street , when they were struck by shotgun pellets fired from a passing SUV. The shots struck two boys ages 16 and 17 in the back, and a 13 year old girl was wounded in the leg. Also In today's paper I had read that their had been a release on a kidnapping down in Tijuana. The kidnappers freed a doctor early yesterday. The doctors kidnapping on nov.6 outraged colleagues and others in the city. About 150 physicians stayed away from their jobs nov. 10 to protest the abduction and to pressure law enforcement officials to obtain his release.

The Union Tribune for Monday's newspaper for November 17, 2008 latest updates for the wildfires in the Southern area of California INTERPRETS that many people were urged to leave their homes. The wildfires have destroyed many homes, and left bad quality to the air. The wildfire started in Los Angeles, then spread to the east in Riverside, in the Orange counties, and northwest of Santa Barbara County. At least 34 square miles of area was burned. According to this latest update no deaths have been found. Police sent trained dogs to search a mobile home park where 500 homes were burned down. The wildfires smoke invaded Los Angeles air leaving it bad quality. Fires are spreading up north threatening multimillion dollar homes in the Diamond bar area and in the Los Angles County. Officials ordered 1,400 people to leave. A total of 26,500 had already been told to leave their homes. The Freeway Fire burned more than 60 homes in the Orange and Riverside counties and that INVOLVES 50 apartment units. The total of acres that the fire burned was 23,722. The Sayre Fire burned more than 500 mobile home park in the Northern Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Mountains. At least 9, 500 acres were burned. The total percentage of containment is 40 PERCENT. The Tea Fire burned 210 homes in the Santa Barbara and Montecito area.1, 940 acres was burned. My personal opinion of this article is that people that are close to the fires should evacuate just incase the fire gets too close to them overnight to avoid any danger.

What I read today Union Tribune about British Columbia a small plane crashed on a remote island off British Columbia’s southern coast yesterday, killing seven of the eight people on board. One survivor walked away, rescue officials said. The pilot was quite experienced said the passenger who as the only one alive. I think how will they let somebody have license to fly an plane if they are not ready for it. People make mistakes but people don't kill seven people one mistake. The fact is that the pilot was experienced how did he crashed was he drugged out or what.

Today I read about a Mission Beach man that dies after a fight with his neighbor. Police are investigating the death of a Mission Beach man who was involved in a fight with a neighbor early Sunday. Brandon Michael Calanan 29, had went to his neighbor Christopher Ross Connor 21, to see Connor. The two had got into a fight. After the fight Connor became unresponsive. The neighbor returned an hour later and officers detained him.
Interesting Facts- Paramedics were unable to resuscitate Connor he was pronounced dead at 12:28 am.
My Opinion- The man that was INVOLVED probably cant INTERPRET how he did this he probably thinks 100 PERCENT that it was an accident. I think that he probably did not mean to kill the guy and it was an accident but the guy died and that’s sad.

Today in my morning blog I had read about a suspected car thief eluded the police early yesterday. He drove into a drainage pipe after leading the cops on a freeway chase in Miramar to La jolla. The cops tried to pull over the driver about 2:20a.m. on Miramar road after seeing him run a red light. But instead of stopping the driver sped off. After running over a spike strip near La jolla village drive the man continued to drive as fast as possible as his tires shredded and sparks flew from the rims. The driver was pulled over shortly after 2:30 a.m. and ditched the vehicle. Which was full of flames near the route 52 . The man was up a high 200ft embankment and jumped head first into a drainage pipe and disappeared into the darkness. The man was gone so sgt. Tom called the search off because the drainage pipe led to many different areas .

Today in the union tribune I read about how a man was charge 15 to life for beating a guy that was a pro surfer. He hit him in the head and as the surfer feel to the ground. He craked his head and killed him. They just found out yesterday that he has life in prison for second degree murder, and battery. The guy he killed was killed on may 24 2007.. About a year ago.
Refeltion- I think that he shouldn’t have hit him that is now his life behind bars for life.
