drug traffickers were the first to see oppurtunity in the oddly shaped house near the border fence in tijuana, digging a tunnel from the house to a parking lot in san ysidro. now artist have taken over,determined to pierce the international boundary in an entirely different way-with painting,poetry and music. the weekend opening of la casa del tu'nel tijuana's newest independent cultural space,brought strains of accordion, applause and laughter to a normally quiet residential enclave west of the san ysidro border crossing.
In the first section of the San Diego Union Tribune I read pirates still exist. Not the pirates like from Pirates of The Caribbean but new updated high tech pirates with speed boats and automatic weapons. The so called “pirates” raided a Ukrainian-operated ship and hijacked 33 Russian-built tanks along with ammunition. They demanded for $20 million dollars from Russians for the safe return of the all their belongings. They American government jumped into the worlds business to save the day. They sent navy ships to the coast of Somali to ensure the pirates do not try to remove any of they cargo. Five countries are sharing information to try any remove the cargo and the crew. The countries are as follows Ukraine, Russia, Somalia, Britain, and the United States. Kenyan governments say they do not negotiate with pirates or terrorists.
In the this intresting sport story that i read in the newspaper was all about the Sandiego Chargers.The chargers were doing really bad in the first half of the game.Oakland was ahead 15 Chargers havent even scored a touchdown yet .Ladamian Tomlionson was doing horrible Phillip Rivers was throwing interceptions it was just all a mess.So time passes and its the begging of the halftime and all the sudden the Chargers put in more strengeth .Phillip Rivers the QB throws an amazing pass in the end zone to Antonio gates and scoress a touchdown.Then once Chargers recieved again LaDainian Tomlionson ran the ball to the endzone and scored an touch down so the score was 18-15. two minutes left in the game Sprolles run the acoulpe yards away from the touch down and as soon as you no it LT scores another touchdow the Chargers won 28-15 it was such an amazing game
Today the San Diego Union tribune I read about how the Somali pirates in small boats are seen alongside the hijacked Faina, a Ukrainian-operated ship that the pirates seized. The vessel CONSIST of SIGNIFICANT 33 Russian-built T-72 tanks, and the IDENTIFIED pirates are demanding $20 million for it’s release. One of the pirates spokesmen warned that the pirates would fight to the death if any country tried military action to regain the ship. This is crazy I don’t know why we are butting into this war against pirates? I don’t understand why we just let other countries handle their own business and we handle our own.
Today in the union tribune, I read that Sheriff's deputies in southern Maryland on Monday continued to investigate the discovery of the bodies of two small children in a freezer in a Lusby home. They found them Saturday as they were investigating a report of an injured child. A woman who said the girls were her adopted daughters has been arrested, according to The Washington Post. Renee Bowman, 43, told deputies that the remains had been frozen since at least February. The sheriff's office said a third girl was found by investigators Saturday after escaping from a locked bedroom by jumping out the window. Officials said Bowman told investigators she beat the 7-year-old with a hard-heeled shoe. She was charged with child abuse in connection with that girl. Bowman has been ordered held without bond. The Medical Examiner's Office asked that the entire freezer be brought to Baltimore so the evidence could be removed.
This is so nasty, that’s all that I can describe this article. How could anyone do that besides Jeffrey Dahmer, really you got to have a sick demented mind to even think about doing something like that.
The article I read this morning was about 13 people that got arrested in trying to smuggle drugs in form the San Isidro border. All thirteen of the people that tried to smuggle in drugs were all caught in cars. They were trying to smuggle in marijuana. Border patrol seized more than 1,500 pounds of marijuana. The largest seizure occurred on Wednesday night. It was a 24 year old female woman. The woman was a U.S. citizen. She was driving a ford expedition. Customs found 544 pounds of marijuana in the car.
I think that all these 13 people are going to be doing sometime. I feel bad for those four of the people that got caught that were Mexican nationals. They won’t be getting there nationality back.
An interesting fact that I read was that the 1,500 pounds of marijuana was worth more than $680,000.
