Today in the union tribune, I read that A woman admitted she helped her troubled, bullied 14-year-old son build a cache of weapons by buying him a rifle and gunpowder, but investigators still don't know if she was aware her son was planning a deadly school attack. Michele Cossey, 46, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Norristown to one count of child endangerment. She admitted that she bought him a rifle with a laser scope and gunpowder, which investigators said he was using to build grenades. Prosecutors said her son, Dillon, came idolize the Columbine High School shooters and was planning an attack last year on Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, which some former schoolmates attended. Cossey, bullied over his weight, had left public school in seventh grade and was being home-schooled. Over time, violent Internet sites fueled his revenge fantasies, his defense lawyer said after his juvenile court plea. Michelle Cossey's sentencing hearing won't happen until after she undergoes a psychiatric evaluation. The maximum possible prison term is 3½ to 7 years, but her defense attorney she could get less than a year or even just probation under sentencing guidelines. The judge who sentenced Dillon Cossey to a juvenile treatment facility, where he could remain until his 21st birthday, said that Michele Cossey had fostered a me and mom against the world attitude in her only child.
I think that’s crazy that a mom would even think about doing that for her son. I wonder what was going through her mind because she knew something like this had to happen its only obvious she would get caught. I don’t think she deserves the sentence she got because they’re always giving white people breaks and a slap on the wrist how come they give a fellow Conrad a break. She should have got the maximum sentencing.
Job losses are expected to increase far into 2009. what that means is if the state fiscal worsens the economy will be in a tight budget for 18 to 24 months. Experts and analysts say that unemployment will reach a quarterly average will consist of 7.4 percent and probably stay there for most of 2009. The states main focus is taking the state out of this hole before we are in deeper. The number of job losses in our finance sector is not appropriate.
Today I read in the union tribune about a man that vanished in San Bernardino 7 years ago and now is found. Authorities focused on the wreckage and found the plane on mountainside in the San Bernardino National Forest. The plane flown by a man who vanished seven years ago. The disappearance of Daniel Katz 24 a former Israeli paratrooper on June 3 2001 was the most expensive and high tech appropriate searches in the areas history.
Reflection- I think that they should have done a better job if It took them seven years and they found the plane on the side of a mountain I think they should have looked hard 3 years ago.
The article I read this morning was about two detectives that were being charged of murder. The detectives have been cleared of any wrongdoing. The only reason the detectives shot and killed the man was because the man started shooting at them first. The man’s name was Dario Amador Martinez. Dario was only 28 years old when he was shot and killed. The reason the detectives are being cleared of an wrongdoing is because they only fired at Dario in self-defense and in defense of one another. Dario was wanted in the shooting of Adrian Ceniceros and also for an outstanding felony for possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. When the detectives try to talk to him he ran and started shooting at them so the detectives fired back killing the man.
I think that this guy could of resisted to at least talk to the investigators. What if they weren’t there to arrest him and they just wanted to talk? I feel bad for his death but it would have been worse if he would of killed one of them.
An interesting fact that I read was that Dario was young when he died.
