Today in the union tribune, I read that Talk about a Big Mac attack! Don Gorske says he has eaten 23,000 of the burgers in 36 years. Don Gorske says he's skipped eating Big Macs only eight days in 36 years. The Fond du Lac man said he hit the 23,000 milestone last month, continuing a culinary obsession that began May 17, 1972, and is fed by his obsessive-compulsive disorder. Gorske has kept every burger receipt in a box. He says he was always fascinated with numbers, and watching McDonald's track its number of customers motivated him to track his own consumption. Despite a diet some would call unhealthy, Gorske says he keeps himself in good shape. He says he's 6-foot-2 and weighs 185 pounds, and walks as many as 10 miles a day. He used to order fries every day in the 1980s but began to cut back in the '90s, now eating them about once a month. He eats two Big Macs and two parfaits a day. Gorske has written a book about his experience. He can instantly recall the eight days in which he failed to satisfy his craving. One was in 1988, the day his mother died, to respect a request she made. He twice failed to attack a Big Mac because of his job. A correctional-institution employee, he said a number of work emergencies kept him on the clock past midnight so he recorded those days as missed days. Three other times he was traveling and couldn't find a McDonald's. He also went Big Mac-less on Thanksgiving Day 2000, and during a 1982 snowstorm that prevented the local McDonald's franchise from opening.
An interesting fact that I learned about this article is that he freezes his burgers. That’s crazy

The article I read this morning was about a child molester who was under supervision got arrested. Gary Gene Snavely got arrested yesterday because the sheriffs department got notified that he refused to take his medication. Gary who is 45 years old, was booked into the San Diego Central Jail under a civil commitment order. Gary was sent to Atascadero State hospital in San Luis Obispo County. David Mark Chambless who was also sent to the hospital served time in jail with Gary. They both served the same prison term for child molesting. By law, sexually violent predators are required to return to the county where they committed the crimes. In order for them to be able to return they need to serve a lengthy treatment program at a state hospital. Gary was at the clinic when deputies picked him up.
I believe that just because this man child molested it doesn’t mean that he is crazy. I don’t see what the big deal about Gary not wanting to take his medicine. I think it is his decision whether he wants to go home or not to his county.
An interesting fact that I read in the article was that Gary was convicted in 1987 of molesting 2 young girls ages 8 and 9.

in todays news paper i learned that Familiar rituals of grief marked the seventh anniversary of sept.11 yesterday as thousands paid tribute at the attack sites the presidential candidates laid flowers at ground zero and children mourned parents they can barely remember.
Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama called off their campaigns for the day, and in the late afternoon descended the long ramp into the pit of the world trade center site, bowing their heads and leaving the flowers in a reflecting pool
In my opinion I think that this is really sad all that happened in the twin towers, the tragedy, and all those families suffering but also now more families are suffering because of dead family members in Iraq so everyone suffers.

A doctor whose home and business were raided Wednesday was arrested on suspicion of issuing unlawful prescription for painkillers and other controlled medication. Drug enforcement administration undercover agents had been investigating Dr.Jeffrey Yusim since January. Yusim has been charged by the district attorney office with seven counts of violating the health and safety code to undercover.
Interesting Facts- The search warrants were served Wednesday by the DEA.
My Opinion- I think that they should not have arrested him I think if people want pain killers or medical marijuana they should be able to have it.

Today I read about in the union tribune about a diver killed and his passenger injured when pole struck. The 23 year old driver was killed and his passenger was injured early yesterday when their car hit a utility pole in Mount Helix. After they Examine the accident the man was driving a 1993 Honda Civic at high speed east on Fuerte drive about 3:15. When he failed to negotiate a curve while approaching Karen Way. The car struck the pole and a concrete pillar. The driver died on the scene. His passenger age 19 was analyzed suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized. In this accident there were no signs of drug or alcohol.
Reflection- I’m pretty sure in my point if there were no signs of drugs or alcohol then he had to be not paying attention or was half asleep.
