The FBI has received results in the first round of DNA tests that could link a local man's stepfather to the infamous Zodiac Killer. The tests did not conclude that Jack Tarrance is the Zodiac Killer, but they did not eliminate him as a suspect. Tarrance's stepson, Dennis Kaufman, gave the FBI letters and envelopes from his stepfather for the DNA tests, convinced they would prove Tarrance is the Zodiac. According to Dennis, the tests on the envelopes came back inconclusive, and the results were odd. Investigators found mixed DNA on the envelopes, as if two people licked the same envelope, rendering it useless. The Zodiac Killer mailed letters to police and newspapers during the 60's and 70's, sending taunts and threats. Authorities tried creating a DNA profile off of that evidence in the 90's, but were unable to create even a partial profile until 2002. Jack Tarrance would have known about DNA when he sent the tested letters in the 90's. This raises the question: Are the inconclusive results a shortfall of science, or did someone -- possibly Tarrance himself -- intentionally sabotage the envelopes? The inconclusive results explain why the FBI agents in Washington state picked up Tarrance's dentures two weeks ago to get another DNA source. As far as we know, those tests have not come back yet, but because this is an open investigation, the FBI is not commenting.
This is crazy that this is just surfacing right now. That should have been found out years ago. That’s all I have to say about that nothing more.
Officials say the suspect of stabbing two girls yesterday at the Old Town Trolley station might have done it out of self defense. Witnesses say the two girls had been harassing the boy and taunting him after he had recently been brutally beaten by gang members. The suspect and both victims had been arguing on the bus when they got off at the Old Town Trolley station. Once they had gotten of the bus the victims began to hit the suspect. Witnesses stated that the girls knocked off his glasses and snatched his chain from his neck. As the two were assaulting him he then stabbed one of the victims in the chest and then stabbed the other. The victims have been identified as 17- year old Rochelle Luz Quintana and Sara Chavez. Quintana died at UCSD medical center and Chavez had emergency surgery were she is expected to survive. The District Attorney’s office is attempting to charge the boy with 1st degree murder and attempted murder.
My Opinion: If the boy did this act of violence I don’t feel that he should be charged with murder.
My Opinion: Although he may have been defending himself the boy shouldn’t have taken another persons life.
My Opinion: I hope if the boy is charged with murder that he should be tried as a minor. The reason I think he should be charged as a minor is because this event occurred out of self defense, and if he is tried as an adult he will be sentenced to life in prison were as if he is tried as a minor he will be given juvenile life and be able to get out when he turns 25.
Today I read about a man used a demand note to rob a Wells Fargo bank yesterday afternoon. The robber affect was he entered the bank he maintained his composure. On Claremont Mesa Boulevard near Murphy Canyon Road about 12:45 p.m. He demanded cash in a text letter. He put an undisclosed amount of money in his jacket pocket and was last seen in the parking lot. He was described as Latino in his mid 30s about 6 feet tall 180 pounds with a medium build.
Reflection- I think most banks that get robbed they give the money right away. I don't think they should give money right away because what if they never get caught there go's that money. This man just asked for money what is up with that.
Overall the death total over night became 21 for the prison riots. The total includes a number of prisoners and guards. Families ache to find out that their loved ones were killed. The prison released forms with names of dead inmates. The lines were long and slowly moving but the eagerness to find out information about family and friends was more important than the blistering sun raining down on them. Mother Rebeca Pineda sobs to find out her American citizen Omar Gonzalez pineda was one of the inmates found dead at la mesa prison in Tijuana. The people remain upset because they don’t believe any one is doing anything to fix the problems. Many of the inmates are in bad conditions. They suffer from dehydration, starvation, and anxiety. Some of the prisoners weigh as little as 95 pounds. The prison system in Mexico is a horrible place to have t pay debt.

While the details of the plan remain to be hammered out the discussion could result in the biggest bailout in U.S. history and the most direct commitment of taxpayer funds so far in the worst financial crisis that fed and treasury officials say they have ever seen.
